Ziyuan is a Ph.D. candidate in Operations Research at Concordia University under the supervision of Dr. Tommaso Schettini from Concordia University, Dr. Jean-François Cordeau from HEC Montréal, and Dr. Claudio Contardo from Amazon. Currently, he is a student member of CIRRELT and GERAD. From 2015 to 2022, he received both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Applied Mathematics at the University of  Waterloo and was mentored by Dr. Jun Liu at Hybrid Systems Lab. His main research interests are more focused on Supply-chain Network Design, Hub Location Problems, and various decomposition methods. 

• He presented his work, titled 'Two-phase Benders Decomposition for Stochastic Multi-Period Multiple Allocation Hub Location with Modular Capacities', at the 2026 CORS Annual Conference in Kingston.

• Our recent work, titled 'A Hierarchical Decision Framework for Dynamic Operation of Mobile Charging Stations,'  has been published in Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review. 

• He presented his work, titled 'Decomposition Algorithms for Dynamic Capacitated Multiple Allocation Hub Location under Demand Uncertainty,' at the 2025 Optimization Days in Montreal.

• He presented his work, titled 'Decomposition Algorithms for Dynamic Capacitated Multiple Allocation Hub Location under Demand Uncertainty,' at the 18th INFORMS Computing Society Conference in Toronto and served as the session chair for "Logistics Operations under Uncertainty."

• Ziyuan is the winner of the 2024-2025 research scholarship competition for co-supervised doctoral students from GERAD!
